"Canon Friendship School Chain" - Canon - Ella - Dam Hong Primary School

In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the new school year, Canon Vietnam, Ella Charity have coordinate with the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district to organize handover ceremony of Canon - Ella - Dam Hong friendship primary school point, Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province. The ceremony was successfully with the attendance of representatives of People’s Committee of the district, Department of Education and Training in Chiem Hoa District, Ngoc Hoi Commune People's Committee and Community as well as all the teachers and pupils.

This school point located at Ngoc Hoi Primary school including 7 classrooms, is a learning place for more than 180 students, was built by soil and rice trawl since 1979. Due to the construction of a long time and from materials easily damaged so the work has been seriously degraded; The classes are tilted, the walls are collapsed and can collapse at any time. Every year, the school must renovate so that students have enough classrooms.

During fact finding, understanding the infrastructure is lack of many things, Canon Vietnam and Ella Charity Fund built 7 new classrooms for the school point, had more than 400ms to ensure safety and create a better teaching and learning environment for teachers and students of school point. Besides the school handover, Canon Vietnam presented 180 gifts was cute backpack for pupils.

With the concern from Canon and Charity Funds, on behalf of the school managing board, the teachers and the children, the school headmaster expressed thank you to all sponsors. The work has important meaning, creates better condition for all the pupils and teachers as well as reduces difficulties for each family of concerning their children’s study. The support and gifts from the company are encouragement for all pupils and teachers to get more achievements in the future.

“Canon Friendship School Chain” project once again affirm Canon's long-term strategic commitment in Vietnam as well as the Kyosei philosophy - Living and working for a common good that Canon has pursued. Canon Vietnam does hope that with the efforts of company also the encouragement from Vietnam government and local authorities, the social contribution activities will be expanded widely, achieve more effective results for Vietnam education in particular, and Vietnam society development in general. Besides that, our project always hopes to receive the support and cooperation from the community, volunteers to bring meaningful activities to poor children in the whole country.
