HANDOVER CEREMONY OF “GREEN PARK IN THE CITY" PROJECT 2022
On 2nd November 2022, Vietnam Students Development & Support Center; Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd; Hanoi city Team Council organized the handover ceremony of green parks 2022 at Trung Yen primary school, Cau Giay district, Ha Noi. With the aim of joining hands with the urban areas creates more green parks in order to increase the rate of green trees, minimize air pollution, protect the environment, and at the same time raise people's awareness of environmental protection issues; contribute to to complete the sustainable development goals of Vietnam.
After 2 years of implementation, the project has built 6 small green parks at 6 primary schools in 6 central districts: Tay Ho, Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem and Dong Da with total value up to more than 1.2 billion. These small green parks not only contribute to increasing the percentage of trees in schools to help reduce air pollution, but also create green spaces for students and teachers to perform other useful activities, outdoor library, organize learning activities about plants...
At the handover ceremony, the representatives of Canon Vietnam and Vietnam Student Development and Support Center present 3 green park to 3 primary schools including: Trung Yen, Quang An, and Dang Tran Con.
Also in the ceremony, more than 60 beautiful paintings selected from more than 5000 paintings for the painting contest "Children's Green Park" were displayed.




Besides, the pupils of Trung Yen primary school also participated in the propaganda program on environmental protection organized by Canon Vietnam. Through vivid illustrations pictures, video, interesting questions and answers, the students learned about the current situation of the surrounding environment, what they can do by small actions to protect the environment, and reduce plastic waste.
With the success of the project, in the coming time Canon Vietnam, Vietnam Student Development and Support Center will continue to implement the project not only in schools but also in other areas in the city. to contribute to bring green space to the capital.
Vietnam Students Development & Support Center and Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. hope that project will expand more scale not only in Hanoi but also in other urban areas of Vietnam, contributing to preserve and protect sustainable environment and the Sustainable Development Goals.
