CANON VIETNAM SPREAD READING CULTURAL TO CHILDREN

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan relations, with the desire to contribute to the development of Vietnamese children and enhance cultural exchanges between the two countries, Canon Vietnam continues to donate bookshelf and E-hon books to the kindergarten and primary schools in Canon Friendship School Chain project to spread reading culture to Vietnamese children.

Mr. Okamoto – General Director of Canon Vietnam shared that:“E-hon books are considered as “soul food” for children because through small stories illustrated with pictures, they help develop imagination, vocabulary, nurture personality and enrich the child's soul. Moreover, reading books with children every day is also an invisible connection between parents and children. Therefore, I really hope that Vietnamese children will have chance to access E-hon books through teachers at school and parents at home.”

In 2023, Canon Vietnam has and will present total 9 Ehon bookcases with more than 300 E-hon story books to children of their friendship schools: Tu San primary school (Than Uyen, Lai Chau), Na Ban primary school (Cho Don, Bac Kan) and Na Phiao Kindergarten (Bao Lam, Cao Bang).

In addition, at Canon Vietnam's 3 factories, the General Director also sponsored E-hon books for the company library with up to nearly 400 books. E-hon bookcase has attracted many employees who often come to borrow and read with their children.
