Handover Canon – Na Sang 2 Friendship school
18th Dec 2024, Canon Vietnam has coordinate with the Na Sang no.2 kindergarten district to organize handover ceremony of Canon – Na Sang 2 friendship kindergarten branch school, Muong Cha district, Dien Bien province. The ceremony was successfully with the attendance of representatives from the Department of Education and Training in Muong Cha District, Na Sang Commune People's Committee, Na Sang commune medical center and as all the teachers and pupils of Na Sang 2 branch kindergarten of Na Sang No.2 kindergarten.


"Canon Friendship School Chain" project which is one of the social contribution programs of Canon Vietnam launched in 2007, aims to sustainable development goals which developed by United Nations and Vietnam aims as well as achieve 4 goals: Goal 1: End all forms of poverty everywhere; Goal 4:Ensure quality, equitable, comprehensive education and promote life- long opportunities for all citizens; Goal 6 : Ensure the full supply of and sustainably manage water resources and hygienic systems for all citizens; Goal 11: Promote sustainable, resilient urban and rural development; ensure safe living and working environment; ensure reasonable distribution of population and work force by region.
Especially, from 2022, together with the project "Canon friendship school chain", Canon Vietnam cooperates with local District Youth Union and doctors in district to organize propaganda and consultation programs to raise awareness about protection Health care for students, parents as well as local people – in places which is in still difficult condition, the awareness of health care is still limited, towards the Goal 3: of sustainable development Ensure healthy lives and enhance well-being for people of all ages.The theme of each propaganda session will be based on the actual situation in each locality.


The Canon – Na Sang 2 school under Na Sang No.2 Kindergarten is built with total of 170m2 include 01 classrooms, 01 WC rooms, school yard and fence. Canon Vietnam also presented school the outside toy, Ehon bookshelf, present students 25 gift sets with nice backpacks, candy, towel, crayon; with the total sponsor amount of 600 Mil VND. Attending the ceremony, all the school's students & more than 50 parents and local people were propagandized by doctors from the Na Sang commune health center about flu and sore throat. The content of the propaganda post is associated with vivid illustrations, practical instructions to help children, parents and people more clearly visualize how to prevent and treat these diseases by the right.
In addition, Canon also donated Japanese Ehon books and supported reading programs for children, helping them have the opportunity to come into contact with good books, develop their brain, language skills, creative thinking and emotions. At the end of the program, CVN presented 50 gift packages are essential items to each local people attending the health care program.


With the concern from Canon, on behalf of the school managing board, the teachers and the children, the vice-chairman of commune People’s committee expressed thank you to all sponsors. The work has important meaning, creates better condition for all the pupils and teachers as well as reduces difficulties for each family of concerning their children’s study. The support and gifts from the company are encouragement for all pupils and teachers to get more achievements in the future.
Also in “Canon Friendship School Chain” project, Canon Vietnam simultaneously handed over a clean water system for Sa Tong 2 primary school in Sa Tong commune, Muong Cha District, Dien Bien Province. This project includes 01 Drill well, 01 pump and 05 water purifier to help ensure living and learning conditions for nearly 500 pupils and teachers. Total sponsor amount for the project in 2024 is 1,1 Billion VND.
“Canon Friendship School Chain” project once again affirm Canon's long-term strategic commitment in Vietnam as well as the Kyosei philosophy - Living and working for a common good that Canon has pursued. Canon Vietnam does hope that with the efforts of company also the encouragement from Vietnam government and local authorities, the social contribution activities will be expanded widely, achieve more effective results for Vietnam education in particular, and Vietnam society sustainable development in general.
