Canon Vietnam "Nurture children's souls" through the Ehon bookshelf donating project

On November 26, 2025 - Canon Vietnam organized a handover ceremony of Ehon books & bookshelves to Nam Son Kindergarten and Hoan Son 1 Kindergarten in Bac Ninh province. During the program, Canon Vietnam representatives presented 14 bookshelves and more than 800 Ehon picture books to the two schools. These are meaningful gifts, contributing to enriching learning resources and entertainment materials for teachers and students of the school. In addition, Canon Vietnam also organized an Ehon book reading activity for the school’s children. The reading session received love and enthusiastic response from the children.

Through the Ehon bookshelf donation project - "Nurturing children's souls", Canon Vietnam Company brings to children Ehon picture books originating from Japan and considered "food soul” for children. Ehon picture books with many images and colors revolving around simple, close stories with humanistic and educational values related to family affection, building good habits, building relationships with friends, pets... will help children have a rich understanding of the world around them, develop their imagination, thinking ability, language and contribute to nurturing children's souls and emotions and help children create joy and love of reading from an early age.

Mr. Ryo Onoue – Director of Human Resources Department of Canon Vietnam shared: “We believe that books are the best friends of children. Canon Vietnam wishes to convey the hope of a generation of children who are nurtured in love, creativity and have a rich knowledge of the world around them. We hope that these bookshelves will become the children's favorite corner at school and that they will have more chance to access Ehon books through their teachers at school and their parents at home.”

Implemented since 2023, Ehon books & bookshelves donation project has been given to schools as part of Canon Vietnam's social contribution projects, thanks to which nearly 4,000 Ehon picture books have been spread and reached more than 13,000 children and children from urban areas to remote northern mountainous provinces. Through this activity, Canon Vietnam once again affirms its commitment to sustainable development associated with community benefits, especially in the field of education and childcare - the future generations of the country.
