CANON VIETNAM WELCOMES SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL– AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING,
HANOI UNIVERSITY OF INDUSTRY

On August 1, 2025, Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. was honored to welcome the delegation from the School of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry to visit at the factory. The program is an important milestone in the cooperation strategy between enterprise and university, aiming to strengthen the connection between practice and training, research and development of high-quality human resources.

Leading the delegation was Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Tien Dung – Rector of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering. On behalf of Canon Vietnam, Mr. Ryo Onoue– General Manager of the Human Resources Division and related representatives, warmly welcomed and worked with the delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ryo Onoue shared: “Currently, Canon Vietnam has more than 700 employees who are alumni of Hanoi University of Industry. Many of them are holding key positions in the company. This demonstrates the high quality of education and the strong capabilities of the university’s graduates, who meet the professional standards and technical demands of our business.”

At the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Tien Dung emphasized: "This visiting is evidence to the commitment of the University to constantly innovate and improve the quality of training. The goal of the School to equip students with the most practical knowledge and skills, meet the requirements of the labor in the era of Industry 4.0. Closely connecting with leading enterprises such as Canon Vietnam helps the School innovate training programs, update modern technology and create the best conditions for students to access practice right from when they are still in school."

The delegation of the School of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry was introduced to the working environment, operating and production processes of Canon Vietnam. Through that, the delegation of lecturers had an updated perspective to include in the curriculum and training orientation.

In the program, Canon Vietnam and the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry also discussed and signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Accordingly, both sides will consider coordinating on activities related to training and human resource development, consider organizing seminars and share expertise; consider to fund education and develop talents with social responsibility cooperate in research and innovation; organize factory tours.

The meeting ended in an atmosphere of openness, cooperation and expectation. Canon Vietnam commits to continue to be a reliable partner, accompanying the School of Mechanics and Automobiles in particular and with Hanoi University of Industry in general in the process of improving the quality of training and developing human resources for the industry in the new era.
